not very helpful or fun
This place is helpful for people who don't know much about tech, but here's why it's bad in all the other ways. This site is about tech, but the people there are mean, they act like they own "Q&A", and nobody there answers it, and their entire site got hacked. The staff should be nice and welcoming, they just write for the web, nothing special. But they act like they're the bosses of websites. They're not very helpful, useful, or fun. I've found better sites with nicer people. They charge you to advertise for x and x? I know lots of bigger websites that would advertise for you for free. They push you to sign up, get things, and point you to annoying lists -- all of which you can find on Google. Some contain dangerous software. They act like idiots while trying to seem smart at the same time.

cautiously enjoying their guides
MUO's technology information can be helpful, but beware of their "deals." Following a really bad encounter with one of their sellers, I began checking them out on Better Business Bureau and similar sites. Every site I checked was rated "F" or, if not rated, had a lot of unresolved issues. MUO states they "curate" their merchants and that they are reliable. That feels either intentionally deceptive or like a lie. They also advertise dubious software and services that pay them for advertising, so check any disclaimer they post about an entry closely. Finally, they do not reply to messages requesting help or questioning their methods. As another person mentioned, they come off as rather cocky. I will keep enjoying their guides, but cautiously. They are just unreliable in too many ways.
