customer service isn't good
I wanted to close my MagCloud account because customer service was bad, but trying to sort this out isn't something I can do by myself. Why can't I do that?! I've paid around $1,000 on services - and was going to spend more this year -- but my most recent complaint about a printing error (even though I made my publication using the MagCloud preset) wasn't handled how I wanted. It seems like MagCloud doesn't value my business, so I need to go somewhere else for online publishing services. Thanks for ignoring small publishers, MagCloud. Your service is good, sure, but the customer service isn't good.

To start off, when you order note that their printing is darker and not as vibrant as any other printer out there. So increase the exposure and saturation a bit (figured this out the hard way).
After that, I was mostly okay using them for flyer-like materials (I wouldn't use them for anything that needs to show how I edit or shoot.).
This time, I placed two orders on 9/4. One arrived on 9/12, and the other still says 'ordered' (still not in the printing queue) so I sent an email about it. It took a lot of pushing for answers, and they finally printed it and my order of 25 digests arrived on 9/19. AND... they were not cut right, and assembled poorly (the pages are not even).
9/19: I reached out to them about this via their website (where you can't send pictures, just send a message).
9/20: They replied asking for photo evidence. So I sent a photo of the digest with a measuring tape, and a photo showing the uneven pages.
9/21: They replied saying they want proof that all 25 digests were not cut right and are the wrong size. So I took a few pictures of the stack of digests showing they are ALL 6" wide, not 5.25 like they should be. And... no response back.
Maybe I'll get them in about a month from when I ordered, wouldn't that be great.
I'm done. After using them for a long time, they're making me jump through hoops to show that what I'm saying is true for $39. THIRTY-NINE DOLLARS. Seriously. Just reprint it already.
