Avoid purchasing from this place
Avoid purchasing from this place! It’s been nearly two weeks and the book I ordered has been stuck in pre-shipment, despite the email saying "it was shipped". I checked my account and checked UPS and it still hasn’t shipped. They haven’t even received the book. I sent them two emails before I got a reply days later with a weak excuse that UPS is causing the hold-up and it will take two weeks to arrive--why not ship it first? Don't they see that many people shop at other stores that also use UPS? I receive UPS packages multiple times weekly without any issues. Looking at other reviews, I’m not the only customer facing this problem and we all received a similar reply and no book. There are better websites to purchase books. I had to take this up with Paypal, and they responded with the same weak auto-reply about UPS taking two weeks, while it’s been stuck at "order info received" for TWO WEEKS.. According to a Google search: "UPS received the electronic info about the shipment from the store and a label was made for my order. UPS doesn’t actually have my package until they scan the package again."--They LIE to you about shipping things! This kind of service is unacceptable!

they are shortchanging their customers
My biggest issue with BAM is redeeming their coupons. I frequently receive a $5 off a $25 purchase. When I attempt to apply it, the receipt shows I got $5 off on a $25 purchase, but doesn't deduct the right amount. I usually have to return to the store to get the right amount back. This has occurred several times over the years. I have voiced my concerns and asked them to have management correct the problem. No action has been taken. A couple of weeks ago, I redeemed a $5 coupon. The receipt showed it, but $5 wasn't deducted. I went back to the store, told the manager, and he agreed with me. He provided me a $5 gift card to fix the issue. The cash register could not correct the problem. This past week, I had a 20% discount coupon. The receipt listed the discount, but it wasn't applied. I calculated it in my head and explained what my total should be and they issued me a revised receipt. Once I got home, I checked with my calculator to see how much I should have gotten. They still owe me $1.86 which I haven't received. I phoned a number the manager provided me and described the issues. The rep was unhelpful. He told me to speak with the manager who had already stated he couldn't assist. The rep mentioned someone would reach out to me. Up to now, no one has. If I weren't good at math (I have a Ph. D.), I could have lost out on a lot of money in recent years. I have reported this issue many times and no changes have been made. How many of you don't check your receipts like I do and have lost out? Let people know to review their receipts when applying a coupon. It might indicate you got the discount, but often you might not receive the correct amount. They are shortchanging their customers out of a lot of money. Stay alert!
