shady membership trial charges

I got tickets to see a movie on plumbenefits.com. Once I placed my order, I received a message that said I might get a $10 credit. When I checked it out, I saw it was a membership you have to pay for and wanted my card details. I didn't give my credit card details then left since I didn't want to sign up for a membership. Today, I noticed a $3 charge on my statement. I got in touch with customer service and they told me they charged $3 for a trial. I have no idea how they got my card details in the first place, so I'll contact plumbenefits.com. Thankfully, the support team was nice and called off the "trial" and refunded me, but I might not have noticed they were billing me for a membership I won't use if I hadn't checked my account activity. This seems pretty shady and unfair.

they are frauds

I saw this morning that £19 had been withdrawn from my account by smartycashback.com. I didn't remember what it was for, but I recalled it during a chat with the bank fraud team. What happened was, while I was on a site, smartycashback.com looked like it was part of the site and it looked easy to earn cashback, so I completed what I had to on their site, but getting cashback was hard or seemed strange, so I didn't check on it or look back at it. Now, a few months later I saw they took £19 from my account, which is more than what others in the U.S. pay, considering the exchange rate. I really don't know why I should rate them, I honestly have no clue. They are frauds!

automatic billing scam alert

Just like lots of people, I spent $15 on parking through a parking app then a pop-up appeared saying I could get the $15 back. I tapped and put in some info and began getting suspicious. When I reached the last 'accept' saying I agreed to terms and conditions I took the time to read the terms and conditions. Sure enough, automatic billing each month. Of course, I didn't agree and closed it all. Today I looked at my visa and saw a charge for $3 the day I paid for my $15 parking and another $19 today. I've requested a $22 refund from "Smarty". We'll see what happens. If I don't get a refund, I'll tell my credit card company that the charges are fraudulent and get my money back that way.
