I didn't know how much prices change
Before I started using CamelCamelCamel, I didn't know how much prices change on most things on Amazon. If you can hold off buying at a good time, you can save about 10-40%.
When I want to buy something, I look at the price history to see whether the current price on Amazon is worth buying. If it's a good price, I go ahead and buy it. But if it's higher than usual and I don't need it right away, I can set up an alert and wait for an email.
Amazon doesn't track every item I want, but enough items show up that I usually look at the price history for every expensive item before I buy.

be the screwdriver instead of needing one
I really dislike that feeling after buying something. I hate being told by a flash sale platform such as gilt.com that I'm getting the lowest price, when I'm not. I want to feel satisfied and have the thrill of getting what I want at a good price too, so I can get more of what I want!

When there's just one left, I’m quietly hoping some online fairy will play along and drop their already low clearance price. Who can say, right?!?
This site helps you make smart purchases, if that even exists! You can even price shop for the parts needed to fix your old washer and dryer so you can skip buying new! You only need someone skilled if you’re too busy to find a screwdriver.

It takes a couple more seconds, fine minutes, to be a savvy buyer. If we all team up we can ask for improved products at cheaper prices. If you don’t want money flying out of your pockets like birds just because you buy on impulse, control those splurges using this site. It's like those extra seconds to say NO! It's a protection against frustrating product promoters who show a pretty woman on a vehicle when what’s actually appealing is the woman who created the vehicle and has an engineering degree and is smart about everything she buys, particularly her cash!
