really annoying and unsatisfactory experience
Purchased a rugby top for my son that got here fine but it was too large so I wanted to exchange it for a smaller size. With the 30 day return policy mentioned I didn't think it would be an issue. The Seller responded that return fees would be quite high (later realised they were in China), so they offered me instead five pounds compensation which went up to ten pounds when I pointed out they had mentioned 30 day returns and cash was not what I needed since I was stuck with a top my son can't use and over twenty-five pounds lost. I didn't get any response from the Seller so have repeatedly contacted OnBuy, who first replied and mentioned their OnBuy Protection but have had no reply since. In the end, it was a really annoying and unsatisfactory experience so I definitely won't be buying from OnBuy again. Buyer Beware!

DO NOT BUY FROM ONBUY
Folks reckon it is cheap to shop from Onbuy. I found out otherwise, to my shock. Gardeners Dream was selling peanuts listed for £30 for 25kg. I clicked the tab to see sizes and costs. No sizes were listed and the picture showed peanuts with 25kg printed on it. I took that to be the amount and cost. I tried to get in touch with the seller, based in Scotland, but got no reply. I figured it was OK, it was all British. The peanuts turned up one week later. There were three bags with 12.55kg printed on them. I thought there had to be more on the way. I opened them to tip into 5kg bins. There wasn't 12.55kg but actually there was 10kg. I got in touch with Onbuy. They told me that is what you ordered. Long story short, Gardeners Dream pretty much said tough, wouldn't take responsibility for misleading me and Onbuy took their side. And the worst part? I left a bad review on the Onbuy site but they took it down. So the reviews for Onbuy are deceptive as well. I reckon most reviews on Onbuy site are made up. DO NOT BUY FROM ONBUY! Unscrupulous!

no way to contact onbuy
The OnBuy guarantee states you can Contact them but this option is only available while chatting with the seller, where you press 'get assistance from OnBuy' after two days.
I selected this but I didn't get a response from OnBuy after requesting help five days later and had to file a case with Paypal, even though OnBuy's reply said 'we'll respond to you in 48 hours.' There's no way to Contact OnBuy by phone, email or any other method.
I have an issue with a phone that doesn't work in the UK and I can't find help, which will leave me more than £600 out of pocket.
