THIS BUSINESS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM
I want to give it no stars... FIRST OF ALL: the quality is terrible; fabric that might ignite if you are within 1m of a flame, poor stitching and design issues, working with unethical factories all over. SECOND OF ALL: UK/EU buyers: avoid this shop! This shop breaks MANDATORY UK/EU regulations. In the UK/EU, you are allowed to cancel online orders within 14 days of receiving them for a FULL REFUND, like, for example, if the quality is so terrible that you don’t want to shop there anymore. When I told BABYBOO about my plan to use this right, i was told that they claim they have a rule that says they won't provide refunds, just store credit. They said they are aware of UK MANDATORY LAW. But I think they think they can create a policy that disregards parts of the mandatory laws that are inconvenient. How convenient that must be, if that was okay, right? "Mandatory tax? O no, that's a bit inconvenient. Let's put that into our store policy as well and say that we as a company cannot be held responsible for paying tax. Store policy comes before mandatory rules, right?" No, my dear readers. I am sure you can see that store policies CANNOT DEVIATE from the law. That’s against the law. Dear readers, you can report this type of bad business. If this has happened to you, please Check out this site to make a complaint in the UK: with assistance from Citizens Advice (Visit the citizensadvice.org.uk site - Solve-an-ongoing-consumer-problem page) And (for international sellers like babyboo) at the UK International Consumer Centre (www.ukecc.net) Also, know that you CAN (and absolutely SHOULD) report your initial payment to Babyboo as a SCAM to your credit card company: (Visit the Citizens Advice site for tips on how to do this right) This business is definitely a SCAM, so you should totally stay away from it!
